Peloton—perhaps best known for its indoor-cycling bike—introduced the Peloton Tread in 2018. Over four weeks shortly after its debut, we had 15 runners test the treadmill, which was renamed the Tread+ in late 2020, as well as Peloton’s digital classes. As fun as it is to use and as solid as its content is, its high price—north of $4,000—and weak warranty should give pause to all but the most fervent Peloton devotees. Though if you’d prefer to work out at home right now and expect to do so (happily) for several years, it could be worth the investment.
